Worthington

Downtown Worthington was established in 1803, the same year that Ohio became a state. It is a small community rich with New England heritage. This is apparent in the downtown buildings, the town green and the large in-town lots for homes.

The city has kept its historic look throughout the years, but the city’s infrastructure is very current. You will find that all of the city services tightly maintained with state of the art technology. The Worthington library is networked with the Columbus Metropolitan Library system, which opens an array of learning opportunities for the community.

Worthington schools have been consistently ranked at the top of Central Ohio’s schools. The district has a long list of academic and co-curricular programs. Students in the district regularly test well above state and national averages on college entrance exams.

A wide variety of businesses call Worthington home, from small services to large national corporations. Shopping is not limited to the downtown area. Worthington mall is filled with many exclusive boutique shops and fine dinning

The nearly 200 acres of well-maintained parkland, thoughtfully placed throughout the city, has made Worthington a great place to live and visit. Featuring a community recreational center and ice center, Worthington residents can stay active all year long. The city has lots of outdoor areas for enjoying nature. The community plays host to a summer farmers market, arts festival, 4th of July celebrate and plenty of winter festivities. This makes Worthington a great place to live in any season.
